At Zencos, Ken provides architectural design, program and project management, leadership, oversight, and support for analytic projects. Additionally, Ken spends a good part of his time on business development and pre-sales activities. Ken has a passion for connecting people with unique opportunities and challenges and ultimately helping them to reach their full potential.
Ken enjoys bringing the right skills together from multiple groups to help to solve a business problem that otherwise might not be solvable by a single group in an organization. He brings a unique background having spent the past 23 years in multiple areas of the software industry providing customer-focused value, both internally and externally. Ken’s strengths include business, technical, networking, and financial analysis skills. Matz also enjoys contributing to the Zencos blog.
Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in Finance and Accounting. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. An avid learner, Matz also made significant progress towards a Master’s degree in Mathematics from West Chester University and the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Before joining Zencos in 2018, he spent 18 months as the Director of Program Management for development for the XClarity remote server management software portfolio at Lenovo, Inc. Before Lenovo, he spent 20 years at SAS Institute in Professional Services, Sales and pre-sales support where he helped Fortune 500 financial services, insurance, health and life sciences, gas and pipeline, communications, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, and publishing organizations in the US, Canada, and Europe to achieve high returns on their investment in SAS technology.
